Preventive maintenance contracts

FUNCTION
The maintenance contract ensures that your equipment remains reliable and reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns and technical problems. Regular maintenance of your appliances will also extend their lifespan. 
We'll schedule an appointment with one of our partner technicians, at a time that's convenient for you, to work on your appliance: checking, cleaning, replacing parts and consumables, etc.
Please note that a maintenance contract does not include repairs to the equipment. 

RECOMMENDED FREQUENCY
The frequency of maintenance depends on the type of equipment you have. For example, annual maintenance is recommended for wine coolers.

COMPATIBILITY
It is possible to set up a maintenance contract for the following equipment:

• wine by the glass dispensers

Charcoal filters

FUNCTION
Charcoal filters play an essential role in a wine cooler, ensuring air quality and preserving the aromas of each bottle. By eliminating unwanted odours and airborne particles, these filters help to maintain a clean, healthy environment which is crucial for optimal wine ageing. They also prevent external odours from entering the cooler, preserving the subtle character and flavours of the wine.

RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT FREQUENCY 
It is advisable to replace a charcoal filter once a year to ensure its efficacy and better storage of the wine.

COMPATIBILITY
We should point out that not all coolers are fitted with a charcoal filter. If this is the case with your appliance, it is essential to select a filter that is compatible with the make and model of your cooler. To help you make your choice, you can refer to the 'Recommended accessories' section on your cooler's product information sheet, or go to the charcoal filters category and refine your search by brand. 

Lava stones

FUNCTION
To maintain the ideal conditions for storing wine, it is essential to control the humidity level in your wine cooler precisely.  Optimum humidity levels prevent corks from drying out, avoid oxidation of the wine and maintain the integrity of the labels on the bottles. Lava stones are therefore used in certain cooler models to ensure that correct humidity levels are maintained. Being naturally porous, they can absorb excess humidity when the level is too high, or release moisture if the air is too dry.

RECOMMENDED FREQUENCY
Over time, lava stones can become brittle and crumble. We therefore recommend replacing them every three years or so. 

COMPATIBILITY
The presence of lava stones in a wine cooler will depend on the manufacturer and model of the cooler. Some brands, including Climadiff and Liebherr, offer models that are compatible with the use of lava stones to regulate humidity. 

Gas cartridges

FUNCTION
Gas cartridges are needed for the correct functioning of appliances that store opened bottles and for dispensers of wine by the glass. We mainly offer nitrogen cartridges in various capacities.

RECOMMENDED FREQUENCY
There is no standard frequency for replacing gas cartridges, as the degree of wear varies according to your consumption and the way you use gas with your appliances. However, if you have an estimate of your average cartridge consumption over a defined period, you can set up a recurring order at the corresponding frequency to guarantee a continuous supply and avoid any stock shortages.

COMPATIBILITY
The gas cartridges we offer are compatible with La Sommelière wine by the glass dispensers and Winefit dispensers and storage appliances. For more information, please refer to the 'Compatible with' section on the gas cylinder product information sheets. 

Dust filters

FUNCTION
Dust filters for wine cellar air conditioners are essential for maintaining a clean, healthy environment. They effectively capture dust particles, atmospheric contaminants and other impurities that may be present in the ambient air of a cellar. This ensures that the air entering the cellar is clean and free from particles that could adversely affect the quality of the wine.

RECOMMENDED FREQUENCY
To ensure the longevity of your equipment, we recommend changing the dust filter at least once a year, or as soon as you start to notice it has become less effective. 

COMPATIBILITY
The compatibility of dust filters depends on the model of the air conditioner. For more information, please refer to the 'Compatible with' section on the dust filter product information sheets.

Frequently asked questions

HOW DO PROGRAMMED ORDERS WORK?

To set up a programmed order, you can click HERE, or on the calendar icon at the top of the page, next to the login icon. 
Just follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your account or create one if you don't already have one

2. Select an eligible product linked to your previous orders if you have any, or use the filter tool to find an eligible item.

3. Plan your order by determining the quantity, delivery frequency and preferred date of your next order 

4. Choose your delivery address

5. Select the payment method to be used (no payment is required at the time the order is programmed)

6. Check that all the information in your subscription summary is correct, then confirm your subscription. 

Once the subscription has been activated, your order will be programmed with no advance payment required. On each due date, you will receive an order confirmation by email and will be able to make payment at that time. Once payment has been received, your order will be processed and dispatched. 


CAN I CANCEL OR PAUSE MY SUBSCRIPTION?

Of course, go to 'My Account > Manage my subscriptions', where you can temporarily pause or cancel your subscription. If you cancel it, you can always reactivate it at a later date. 


CAN I ORDER MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF PRODUCT THROUGH THE SAME SUBSCRIPTION?

You can take out a subscription that includes several types of product, such as a charcoal filter and a bag of lava stones, for example, and receive them at different frequencies. The only common factor with these products will be the payment method used and the delivery address. 


HOW LONG DOES A SUBSCRIPTION LAST?

There is no fixed commitment period for our subscriptions. You can take out, pause or cancel them at any time, including before the first due date, or at any other time that suits you. 


CAN I CHANGE THE FREQUENCY OF MY SUBSCRIPTION?

You can adjust the frequency with which you receive your products by going to the 'My Account' tab and selecting the 'Manage my subscriptions' section. You can make these changes by clicking on the 'Modify' button next to the product you want to alter. What's more, you have the flexibility to change the quantity of products you want to receive and the date of your next order.


HOW CAN I UPDATE THE PAYMENT OR DELIVERY DETAILS FOR MY SUBSCRIPTION?

Go to the 'My Account' tab, then the 'Manage my subscriptions' section, you can make changes by clicking on the 'Modify' button for the product in question. This will allow you to alter your payment method and delivery address, if necessary. It is important to note that when your subscription includes several products, any change made to the payment method or delivery address will apply to all the products included in the subscription.


IS THERE A CHARGE FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS?

There are no subscription charges when you set up a programmed order. Charges are only payable at the time of the due date you have selected, and only include the cost of the products you have chosen and the associated delivery charges. 


CAN I GIVE A SUBSCRIPTION TO SOMEONE AS A GIFT?

You cannot give a subscription to someone as you would a gift card, for example. You can, however, take out a subscription in somebody else's name, but you will need to create an account for them, or have the products delivered to their home from your own account.
